Is that a strawberry I see in the bottom left hand corner?I've just been chuckling over your caterpillar post – aren't I cruel? 😉 However, I've just been out to our local farm shop in the snow and what should flutter onto the shop door whilst I was there, but a cabbage white butterfly!

yes, it is indeed a strawberry – it ripened last November but the slugs got the half you can't see before I could pick it so being the lazy slovenly gardener I am I left it there (tis frozen strawberry by now, of course). You are very cruel but don't worry, now they've turned up in Chippenham too they'll be over your place next. You just wait and see.
