Lovely slideshow – I particularly like your thalictrum and envy your stipa both of which are on my shopping listRegardsKaren
thanks Karen! The Stipa is utterly gorgeous at this time of year – I have it right next to the scarlet Crocosmia ‘Lucifer’ and they mingle beautifully. It reminds me of field poppies in corn.
Great slide show. You have a lot of variety and color in your August garden. Thanks for joining in for bloom day!Carol, May Dreams Gardens
I have a “scruffy” garden, too:) You have lots of lovely blooms. The Achillea is unlike any I’ve ever seen before–does it spread?
thanks Carol and Rose!the Achillea is A. ptarmica ‘The Bride’ – and yes it does spread like wildfire. Luckily it’s a) pretty enough not to matter and b) easy to pull up. Only trouble is the leaves, unlike most achilleas, look very like penstemons so half the time I daren’t pull them up until it’s too late and they reveal themselves as the impostors they are…but they’re lovely so I don’t mind too much 😀
I like the photo of the Zantedeschia – it looks like the inverse of a Mr Whippy ice-cream (if you see what I mean…).Lovely blooms.
